First Steps!

Lily took her first steps today! I had a feeling it would happen in Marion. We caught her standing on her own yesterday - over and over again. It started with a toy that she didn't want to put down. You could tell she also wanted to follow Grace (Scott and Krisha's daughter) and Elizabeth (a girl Krisha baby sits) around. Having 2 girls to follow the last couple of days has been a motivating factor for her. Today she has been toddling back and forth between the two of us. She is still pretty unsteady, but I am sure will take off soon!

It made my heart skip a beat. I am sooo proud! I will add pics when we get a couple. We were able to shoot some video today!

Indianapolis Indians Game

Why's everyone taking my picture?

OOOO, OOOH - You better be careful - Glasses are my fave toy!

Joshua, you may not get your glasses back!

Well, we were able to spend some time with some old friends yesterday. We attended Hanfield in the morning and left for Indy right after church. Matt was wanting to get one of the free hats they were giving away. We made it, but not in time for the hats.

Lily did exceptionally well. She played at out feet most of the game and had a couple walks in the stroller. The weather was great! The game, however . . . . The Indians were losing 12-0 by the end of the first inning. The Bulls scored 8 runs in the second inning.

Thanks to Beth Stout for taking all the pics and e-mailing them so quickly! Yes, there was a group picture, but I'm selfish - I didn't look so hot. Why, do you think I take all the pics for the family!

15 Month Check-up for Lily

We just got back from Lily's 15 month check-up. She is still a peanut, but is growing! She now weighs 16 lbs 9.2 oz and is 29 1/4 in long. That means that she has grown about an inch in length and added roughly 3 lbs to her weight. All seems well. She will continue on milk with vitamins added since she has taken herself off the formula. The challenge is now going to be getting her to drink enough milk.

Lily received the "wonderful blessing" of 3 shots! She was watching as the first one went in. She got this incredibly mad look on her face and held her breath until after the 2nd shot was given. This was her first experience with shots with us, here in the States as her immunizations were at appropriate levels when we had her tested in April.

She is now taking her morning nap. We'll see if the shots affect her sleep or disposition today.

An Emotional Day

Having a snack with Dad

Mommy was busy, so I climbed up here all by myself!

Well, today has been an emotional day for me. Steve and I made the decision earlier this week that today would be the last Sunday at our current church for a variety of reasons. Nothing happened per say, but it is something that I have been pushing under the rug for awhile. I will say that we had a conversation about a year ago (not long after we started at the church) in which Steve wanted to visit a few more churches. I put my foot down and was obstinate about staying at the church we were at. Quite frankly, I was letting my pride get in the way.

It was sad seeing people today knowing that we weren't going to see them on a weekly basis anymore. I have always felt at home and comfortable, but Steve has not. I know we are following what God wants for us. Especially since I am finally submitting to my husband's authority in this area. We also know that it will be easier on Lily to make the change now instead of a couple years from now when she would be aware of friends, etc. that she would be not seeing so much anymore.

On the bright side, Today we have officially been home for 3 months. Where has the time gone? Lily will be 15 months on Tuesday!

I will add a couple pics when I pick up the pics from the disposable camera/Photo CD we were trying to use up. The disposable pics didn't turn out, so here's a couple we just took today!
