It was family day while we were at the NMMC. They brought in several universities with robotics programs, private companies, and done military. Fascinating!

National Museum of the Marine Corps
One of the lessons Lily is learning is priorities/fairness. It's a good thing, but it's hard to.
I hate that she is missing some things we could do as a family, but I always reminds myself we don't have the opportunity she does to do gymnastics so much.
She's been restricted to non-weight bearing on her wrist for the last week. She turned her wrist like you would turn an ankle while she was on beam.
Fortunately, she's handled it about as well as any 8 year old, gymnastics fanatic would. Enjoy the pics of our outing while she had a long Saturday practice.
Ga Starts Preschool
I've been behind a bit. School, gymnastics has running around trying to keep my head I straight. The second child is the one gets forgotten, right? I'm just doing what's normal. . .
Yeah, rationalizing isn't working. So here are two pictures! If you haven't figured it out yet, Ga doesn't hold still and nearly refuses to look at a camera.

"Someone's" Room
More sighs. . . Yes, I'm actually cleaning today. Not getting incredibly far, because things keep popping up. Like this most recent room I vacuumed.
"Her" room is never dirty, but ALWAYS incredibly cluttered. Today I found a fitted sheet, couch pillow, ALL the colored pencils this family owned, 13 paper towels, ALL the connect four pieces, ALL the poker pieces, ALL OUR MARBLES (yes, I know you are all relieved that I'm back in my right mind), 7 paper clips "she" had made into "keys" to get into her room (nevermind the fact I found them inside her LOCKED room), garden twine, and SO much more.
I have to do "this" when she isn't home. It's mentally exhausting. I feel like I need a coffee break and a chat with a good friend. Actually, any friend will do at this point. My motivation had left the house.
Keeping it Real
I have several things that I want to post, but I tend to take too much writing posts. I end up not doing it because other things get in the way. For instance, the junk under the recliner couch. . .

First Day of School
It's in the books! It was tough at times. It was sweet at times. Thankful L has such a fantastic teacher (same as last year)!
Days like these prompt us to reminisce. We ought to do that more often. Our time with our kids will slip through our fingers all too quickly!
