That is what Lily said this afternoon when I put her in her newly "turned around" carseat as soon as we started moving. For the last 7 1/2 months, she has only been able to see the backseat of the car. She seemed in awe of all the new sights. I called the police department and asked them about what to do about her. She is too tall to use the middle slat in the back seat, but didn't weigh enough to turn the seat around to forward-facing.
The officer that I spoke to in the traffic and safety department was great! He said that by 1p mths she has the neck strength to keep her head up in the event of an accident especially since she is soo close to 20 lbs. All kids heads will go forward in the event of an accident, but the biggest problem is that young infants don't have the neck strength to pull their heads back up after the impact. This cuts off their air supply and they then could suffocate before someone can help them bring their head back up.
