Well, things didn't end the way I thought they would. Lily basically didn't get out of her bed until 12:30. She fell asleep around 11:00, so she was refusing to obey for about 4 1/2 hours. It is nearly 4 and we are going to attempt another short nap as she is cranky. I will go into more detail in the next day or so.

We are having a VERY difficult morning with Lily. So much so that we aren't going to make it to church. It has been awful. We are in the middle of a battle of the wills. She was/still is being very defiantly disobedient. We are now at hour 2 1/2. I love her, but I am at a loss.

Jen, we are sorry that Lily is difficult at the moment. We know how it is. We also have some hard time with Ninon with sleep. And particularly when Luc, my husband is away. Luc will be back only tonight and I have had 3 v. difficult 'to bed time'. I think our girls understand very well when one parent is weaker/softer. Ninon knows it, knows that with mumy it is easier to have a temper and the plays with it (and WITH MY NERVES I MUST SAY). I have talked to our agency's psychologist, who followed Ninon adoption. She gave me some tricks, but for the moment no real results. I suppose we just need to be very firm. Kindest regards Marianne, mum to Ninon XU Yu-Rong (4 years old)
